Treatment algorithm
Besides, ST mode will provide 2 different pressure levels when the patient inhales and exhales. When the patient breathes on his own, the machine will synchronize with the natural breathing rhythm. When the patient is not breathing on his own, the machine calculates and automatically increases/decreases air pressure according to set parameters. Maximum support for patients with respiratory failure.
Comfort feature
- Usage is extremely simple, comfortable and convenient. Just put on the mask, breathe and the machine will operate automatically (Smart Start) . When you do not use the machine and take off the mask, the machine will automatically stop (Smart Stop). All other features of the machine are automatically adjusted.
- The machine automatically synchronizes and simulates the user’s natural breathing rhythm (Easy Breath) . Adjustable inhalation/exhalation sensitivity (Trigger / Cycle / Ti Control), creating the most comfort for each user.
- The automatic EPAP feature (AutoEPAP) helps automatically adjust exhalation pressure depending on the patient’s health condition.
- In addition, the intelligent Backup Rate feature (iBR – intelligent Backup Rate) supports the patient’s breathing when the patient has uncontrolled apnea, ensuring adequate ventilation. In case the natural breathing rate reaches 2/3 of the minimum set breathing rate, the machine will automatically adjust the number of breaths to gradually reach the set iBR breathing rate.
- The Ramp and Ramp Down feature helps patients easily accept treatment pressure. Ramp reaches therapeutic pressure gradually and comfortably, while Ramp Down gradually reduces pressure before stopping to help patients easily discontinue treatment.
- Vsync technology, allows the device to monitor mask leakage and adjust to adequately balance treatment pressure.
- Lumis 150 VPAP ST also has a built-in humidifier and air heating unit (Auto Climate Control) so that users do not feel dry mouth and nose when using it. The adjustment is also completely automatic, not affected by the surrounding environment.
Report
The machine will report treatment effectiveness right on the machine’s screen or in the MyAir software on the phone. Indicators such as: machine usage time, apnea index (AHI) remaining, mask air leakage, average air pressure; breathing rate, tidal volume, inspiratory and expiratory pressure; average indicators over long periods of time; degree of air leakage, target volume,… Treatment results will be saved to an SD memory card throughout the year, thereby helping to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
The Lumis 150 VPAP ST also has integrated network connectivity, helping the device connect to ResMed’s AirView cloud system. Doctors or technicians can monitor the treatment process and make necessary adjustments remotely via the Internet. Relatives can also monitor usage efficiency remotely on the MyAir application.
